   i was driving to the bank today and the vts decided it didn't like me anymore and now it will not go into first or second at all, i can force it into third and fourth, gear five is fine and reverse grinds like a ba****d
   
   i haven't been driving like a twat and other than the odd crunch into gear its been fine since i bought it last june. come to think of it the thrust bearings are making a annoying noise aswell but surely this isn't connected?
   
   
   im not the most mechanically minded person in the world so any help would be greatly received

   probably a knackered gbox, common as muck to pick up for fairly cheap, usually around £100, saxo's seem to be throwing them all the time

   the pedals pretty normal tbh although its vibrating a tiny bit and its not slipping or anything just decided to stop working for some reason

    im not sure, ideally i want rid of the gold furio. I am not sure what i want to do with the vts. I have just lost interest in it

    why don't you try and do something that no one on here has done before, saxo with a engine and transmission from an impreza don't no if its possible but you seem to have the mechanical know how to do something like that. 2 litre 4 wheel drive saxo would be awesome round a track

    It would probably be shit on track.
    That would cost sooooooooo much money to do.
    Tbh thats such a big project i dont think anymore would do it.
    I dont think you would be able to get all the gear bolted into a saxo either. The best idea would be to build and independent space frame with saxo body panels on

    I had exctly the same problem, and it was the clutch, infact i had managed to shatter one of the tiny springs on the clutch plate and the shattered spring managed to get wedged in the clutch and stopped the clutch being depressed far enough to change gear
