spark plug gap on a j4 turbo conversion

   hi all. Does anyone know if you have to close the gap up on spark plugs when you turbo a j4 16v engine and you up the boost too about 1bar etc !. Many thanks chris

   What grade plugs are you running?

   Ive got some ngk plugs in it at the mo. The reason i ask about gaps is i had a rs turbo once and when the boost was wound up it blew the spark out so just wondered if this was a problem on these engines too?. Cheers

   i know my mate had his plugs gapped to 1.0, sorry i cant be of much more help

   Cheers bud ill see what that is on my feeler gauges compared to standard. Did he have a problem with the spark being blown out when the boost was upped?. Cheers

   I am not too sure tbh, im not full of information on turbo conversions.
