give me some ideas on how to get a 1.1 faster
ways to go faster
-
#1
-
#2Easiest way is bigger engine. Vtr/s to be honest. Theres not a lot of point putting a lot of money into a 1.1.
-
#3buy a faster car.
-
#4push it....
-
#6The cost of making a 1.1 go faster isnt worth it.
No noticeable differences will be made for a 1.1l engine without spending far more than the cost of an engine conversion. -
#9Go down a steep hill???
-
#13ladies, calm down, now your just spamming
engine conversion is the cheapest way to go faster (put a VTR engine in, and it will look like a 1.1. So you could tell your mates its a 1.1 and leave them at the lights
-
#14street racing is a crime.....
-
#16strip it...ALOT.
help it breath better . . .
thats all you can do.
much difference, it wont really make much!
but there is nothing more you can honestly do, other than a conversion.
i have a 1.1 and tried everything
-
#17Its a 1.1 its never going to be fast, so dont even attempt to make it any quicker. Will just be a waste of money
Deja-vu -
#19my mates 1.1 106 wasnt that bad tbh still beat most of the 1.2/1.4 evry1 had
-
#21Right letss get a tidy comment in isit guys
Basicaly you want a fast 1.1 but not have the insurance go up like it would if u had a VTR or VTS haha... only good thing which is pretty costly would be to turbo it and strip it looking at doubling the power my friend but also probably ripping the inlet and gearbox apart and more in the end depending on the boost and how you use it
-
#22Short and sweet ^^ im sure people who have done this could help you, i KNOW someone on the site did this cant remember his name... maybe he'll pop up on this thread haha GOOD LUCK (Y)
-
#23Get chucky Norris to drive it. Instant Bugatti killer.
-
#24lol get rid of any extra weight then roll down a hill
-
#25a cliff

or buy a vtr/s
-
#26Point less thread imo
You will never get a 1.1 to go fast
Unless you put a bigger engine in i.e vtr/vts, an if you do that you will need to tell your insureance company
An if you do that your insureance will go through the roof -
#27only go to track days with 998cc minis and fiat 500's??
-
#28acceleration wise smaller wheels might help, oh and of course painting your bonnet black gives an extra 5bhp.
-
#29I am totaly with this guy. its just not worth trying to get more power out of a 1.1 i tried it and learnt the hard way. invest in a 1.6 8v butt
-
#30just remember, whatever you do, no car is faster than a saxo.
-
#31Swear threads like these come up daily, along with someone moaning about their Idle valve.
Do a search
Have some common sense. Its not possible to achieve high power from a small shitty engine that a 1.1 has. Put up with it, or get a faster car, but try not to be another statistic!
-
#33lol yep aye agree
-
#34kick it!!!
