    How fast are golf TDI's?

    I totally got my arse handed to me off 1. Not happy

    my mate says its prob just down to my 17's and sound system causing extra weight etc etc but i just think i was let down by my car

    its a vts engine on 1.1 box. I was struggling to get 120mph and he just went crusing past.

    It was a late night and was on a motorway so roads were empty just to let you know

    the golf gt tdi is just as fast as a golf gti!. you would probably of hammered him off the mark but the saxo isnt really built for motorways just hammering around coners!.

    dont worry about it mate,there not built for top speeds,and i hope you was on a private track your car will be alot slower with 17s on mate

    With a 1.1 box fitted a vtr could cruise past you top end LMAO

    yea the TDI's torque is emense and into the higher gears they will piss on a VTS
    my VTS beat a mk3 GTI on a dual carriage way but the mk3's r the crappest golf made.
