Refurbing black VTR alloys.

    Just a quick question really...

    If you've looked at my progress thread, you know that I badly need to either, get my VTR alloys refurbished or look into buying some new wheels. I was just wondering whether anybody on here specialised in refurbing alloys or knew of a good place around my area that does this?

    There is a place in Widnes that does it for £30 a wheel I believe...

    This is the only picture that seems to show it off the worst and the bonnet raisers are off now..

    depends how decent you want the finish on them. i did mine in a rush cos the lacquer was peeling away, got the sander on them, one wheel at a time, quick rub down with pre paint, then primer and matt black. took me an afternoon (in summertime, so it was warm!). i wanna do em again tho, but properly. there's a good guide in this forum, here it is: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87427

    i'd follow that! gives plenty of detail and its cheaper than sendin your wheels away! i think, like everyone says, its just a matter of time and how much effort your willin to put in! go for it, it'll be reet!
