Powerflex anti-roll bushes

Are they what they're cracked up to be?

I have bog standard suspension atm, as i cant afford any new kits due to buying a new exhaust set-up.

Would replacing mine with these powerflex bushes be worth £11.50 of my dollar? lol

    Or would it be pointless?

    Cheers guys,

Cant see it doing any harm, from what ive read on here, everyone with a good suspension set up have a full powerflex bush set-up'.

For £12 you cant go wrong.

does make a noticeable difference on the handling. Especially as old bushes tend to be worn and in need of refreshing.

Polyurethane bushes tighen up all the suspension components. Why most people have them is its pointless having carlos fandango dampers and springs if your bushes are old and tired with more play then a pedo in a playground.

Even in standard suspension you'll see an improvment. With less play in the bushes etc the steering has a more responsive feel and turn in etc will be improved.
The trade off is that ride comfort can be lost but notihng dramatic.

Powerflex are good but if your wanting harder ones then look into the likes of polyrace. These are the red coloured bushes (powerflex are purple) and are a fair bit harder. Most people use polyrace for the rear beam mounts. (i used powerflex but if i had to again id go for polyrace)

as above certainly tightened up everything on my car.
Tbf though all my bushes were tired and old so anything would feel good when replaced

If the bushes are old and worn then yes but if there OK it will make such a little difference. With full standard suspension you wont be pushing that hard anyway so on the road will be no real difference.

    For £12 though?

My front suspension is questionable, im thinking new ball joints, bushes, wishbones etc, cnt afford shocks and springs atm..

So to be OR not to be?
