Which strut braces actually fit a MK1?

   Right having a little read up im a bit confused as to what strut brace's actually fit the MK1 (mines a VTS). Also is the e-tech strut brace and good or is it purely for looks?

   IIRC the only brace that doesn't fit is the new OMP one which sticks out over the rocker cover, as it fouls on the bonnet. Ideally you'd want something like the sparco one which goes pretty much straight between the strut tops.

   top strut braces really r for show unless ur sittin on coilovers or a nice set up ov dampers and springs but bottom strut braces u will feel a difference

   All will fit and all will do very little. OMP will fit with slight modifications to the bonnet

   All should fit as above, and my OMP fitted with NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE BONNET OR LINING. Was a straight fit

   OMP fitted my mark 1 without moving the bonnet and my mark 2

   I had to get the chainsaw out to fit my Sparco one on my old car.

   All will fit, makes it a bit harder to shut the bonnet with the omp one as it rests on it. When i put bonnet lifters on my car it clears the omp bace and makes a more flush fit at the front.
   Sparco ones seem good.

    I had to modify my bonnet with a large hammer but when i put my fibreglass one on i'm either going to out a little section out or raise the bonnet up. The car has an OMP stut brace.
