how do you tell the difference between a mk2 98bhp vtr engine and a furio engine? :s
  2. #2
    the speed of it
  3. #3
lol. nah seriously is there any way of telling because i got sold an engine for my car and ive fitted it and it was supposed to be a VTR but i just want to double check what i do have?

tbh i dont really know apart from if it were a vtr engine u would know its alot more torquey than a furio.am sure sum1 wil tell you the answer
  5. #5
    got any pics?
  6. #6
well it was originally a 1.1 and from that i can really tell the difference with the torque but having never drove a furio im a bit screwed lol.

i think there is something to do with the engine numbers that tells you what they are. not sure myself but i have seen it on here before so give it a search
  8. #8
kk ill try a search for that. it looks exactly like the 98 bhp mk2 engine on the FAQ's but so does the furio lol.
  9. #9
Could you not check the engine code?
  10. #10
inlet manifolds are diffrent?? not 100% on that

shouldnt you have asked that before you fitted it?

But the code on the ECU will tell you- thats assuming the ecu came with the engine..
