Important! : rear wheels rubbing

    iv just bought some 3 stud compomitives for my 1.1 mk1 saxo, but the rear wheels are rubbing, what do i need to do?

    On the inner lip of the arch there is a metal lip. You need to have it rolled. Or you could bash it with a hammer if it will look tidy enough. Either that or the tyres are rubbing on the inside. I had that problem so used 5mm spacers.

    Put the back end on axel stands and spin your wheel with handbrake off then you will see which bit is rubbing mate

    yh its the inside thats rubbing, it only seems to be rubbing on the arch lining though, if i take it out will it be ok?

    on the arch lining on the rear? yea you could try taking it out see if that helps. What size tyres you got on?

    lol. so your tyres are 195-42-15 lol. theyl be 45 or 50s mate.

    try and rip out the arch liner. Or you will have to get spacers mate. You can pick up 5-10mm shimms cheap off Ebay!

    take out arch liner and use an angle grinder on the inner lip of the arch.simplez.do not hammer it,you coul damage the arch/clips

    ok, thanks iv took the arch liner and now it doesnt rub on the inside, just rubs on outside when i have people in the back, so gota do arch lip, but doing this found me a nice proble, saw some rust so i poked it with my finger, next thing i know im in my boot,... oops iv got a 2 1/2 inch hole so iv had to weald it up, lol thnaks
