Doubtfull it would be plugs tbh. I think most people would agree that your idle control valve needs a clean. Loads of threads on it on here mate. Easy job to tackle your self as well thankfully.

as above, pretty common faults with these very strong engines. simple to fix. is there a little orange engine light on, on the dash? if so then its either a Idle Control or Mass Air Flow sensor. very simple to change done them on a few saxos in my garage. quick and cheap lol. also for the future saxos are prone to going on there coil packs, probably means nothing to you but just putting it out there lol.

Well the engine light means there is a sensor problem, just be carefull becuase some dodgey people black them out or even remove them! take it to garage and just let them put it on a diagnostics computer. I had the same problem on my old saxo, i that didnt have a engine light showing, yet when we plugged it into the Solus (snap-on diagnostic machine) it came up with a whole load of faults, also with the awful tempreture drop which has occured recently, a sensor may have frozen over causing problems with that sensor. imo just take it to garage and tell them the problem your having, make sure its a well known garage becuase you dont want them raping you for every penny. Im sure it will be a idle controll sensor pal.
