Clutch Problem

Hey, just checking a question about the VTS with you guys......

Was out in my car today went to go from 2nd to 3rd gear and the clutch peddal drop to the floor (kinder stuck there more like) still had a little travel on the clutch and could change gear but sounded like in was slipping and could smell clutch burning.

I pulled over straight away, peddal return to normal could get all gears ok and drive but could hear a wooshing noise when trying to pull off (clutch slipping?)...

Anyway, decided to get the car home straight away was driving carfully then went to change gear and then i had no drive at all. I can get all gears fine, just when trying to pull off and car just revs up and no drive at all (can come fully off the clutch while engaged in gear but no drive) also the cars only revs up the speedo doesn't move at all so not the drive shafts? Can also smell clutch burning.

Just making sure this is 100% the clutch gone before getting a new one?

    Thanks, Andy.

just get a valeo, sounds alot like the clutch or a collapsed bearing.
How many miles has the clutch done? Whats your driving style like?

The cars done 82k, my driving style is quite relaxed but i only brought the car a couple days ago so dont really no how much abuse the clutch has be given

I have a rolling road print out for 147bhp, but i had the car remapped yesterday so probably a little more now, but you would still just recommend a valeo clutch?

    Thanks, Andy.

my cars done 82k and it needs a new clutch anything between 70 to 100 its ment to be good

p.s valeo ones are ment to be good up to 200bhp

get a new clutch kit, valeo are good for around 180bhp anything above will cause rapid wear.

i got a fast road clutch from http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/ for £120 with there kevlar metal technology, should be ok?

Also someone said to me that its a good possibility that if my clutch has gone my flywheel will be nailed aswell, is this right? should i get a flywheel aswell or just wait till i take it to the garage and see what they say? Apparently my car already has a lighten and balanced flywheel fitted.

    Thanks, Andy
