#2They are good, have the older 512's fitted to mine. Been good in wet and dry conditions.
-
#3I two had the older ZE-512s on my old rallye, they were a good all around tyre & get my vote
-
#4As above. I had the ze512 and they were a great all rounder. Not cheap though!
-
#5i went and got the ze912 anyone know if these are any good they were 110 pound for 2 including vat
-
#6there crap!
with tyres you pay for what you get falkens are low to mid range tyres. hard compound crap in the wet. heat up fast in the summer so do get rather a bit of grip but due to there hard compound you get tramlining and the drive is pritty noisy.
go for
Tyres good in the wet or dry
Bridgestone
Avon
Dunlop
Falken (on low powerd cars)
Tyres amazing for in the dry
Toyo
Good year
Yokohama
Pirelli
Kuhmo
tyres good in the wet
Michelin
Lassa (new brand)
Cooper (which is actually a section of Dunlop)
opinions vary with tyres so its best to do some research like myself and read for hours on tyre brands
. you'll be suprised what reviews and tyres tests have been done out there!
-
#7gutted i will have to give them a try once there bedded in. you say that you get what you pay for fair enough i dont expect them to be better than my previous toyo t1rs but i heard for the price you pay for these there meant to be better than ones at the same price
-
#8I had falkens on my 850 and they very good on that.
-
#9Falkens have performed very well for me in dry/wet/ice/snow.
Id happily recommend them -
#10had them before on other cars! stick to the road good! wasnt a fan in the wet though!
-
#12had fulkens on my old corsa gsi i think ye int that good there to soft mile down the road here hot and dont last long
-
#13I had ze512s all round and were stop on... highly rate them but there now discontinued and now i got ze912s and to be honest feel the same as the ze512s! and i dont know what 'djmartin' is saying but theres hardly any, if not no tyre noise, even cruising on the motorway.. and the compound cant be too hard as i shagged a pair on the front in 6000miles!!
They get my vote! -
#14yeah they seem good so far tbh i havent pusehd it yet though
-
#15Ok, well i'm looking at getting 4 new tyres all round, they are 195/40 R16, they will cost alottttttttttttttttttttttttttt of money, so I am kind of swaying to getting a set of second hand VTS wheels as it will propably work out cheaper.
What do you guys think I should do? -
#16For £110 i thought they would be very good considering i can get 4 TOYO proxes delivered for £160 and thats off ebay
-
#17yeah then the price of getting them fitted with vat on top mate would come to allot more han 160 i got quoted 130 for toyos t1r thts without vat so prob be about 150 for two i had them before and so far havent noticed any difference tbh hope they dont go as quick as the toyos did eitha
-
#18i would stick to trusty toyos
-
#19i had toyos and couldnt really afford it this time but damn these are just as good and cheap and will probably last longer
-
#20I tried them and think their are not that bad...the best for me using them on road remain the michelin PE2
-
#21Hi ZephyrQuote:I tried them and think their are not that bad...the best for me using them on road remain the michelin PE2

I totally have to agree with you, drive now the Michelin PE2 's at the beginning they were terrible like every very new tyres, but soon they beginn to stick to the road, I was not able to loose grip. -
