Missing Fuse and cigarette lighter not working

  1. #1
    Hi Guys,

Just bought my saxo last week and am in the process of sorting out whatever problems there appear to be.

I noticed that my cigarette lighter doesn't work at all. So my first thought was that it was a fuse.

I have checked all the existing fuses and they all look clean. However, I did notice one missing fuse. As I don't have a book with the car, I was wondering if you guys could review my fuse box and see if there appears to be any fuses in the wrong place and tell me which fuse im missing.

Also if you have an idea as to why the lighter isn't working, let me know.

    Here are some photos:

No, not yet. but once i find one ill try to 5.

Could this be the fuse for the lighter? Also, do the other fuses look right? I don't think the guy I bought the car off knew much about cars. So blind leading the blind.

iv got a vtr mk2 51 plate, and the fuse box is identicle to that 1, and the 5 amp fuses on the left were for the back lights and the license plate bulbs, iv got the same problem with the cig lighter, god knows what the problem is tho

Reading my Haynes Manual, the fuse for the lighter is fuse f5, which is the bottom row third from the right

Its a 20 amp fuse id check that, however i dont think your horn would work either if it was that. (same fuse)
