Ok im currently looking into buying this saxo VTR which is very much in my price range. The car is fine apart from a clicking sound that apears when you turn the wheel. This happens when still and when driving. I just want to know what is the most expensive thing this could be to repair? I want to know this so i can offer the right amount of money to the seller when possibly buying the car. Cheers

#2could possibly be wheel bearing, 30-60 quid, i can't be 100% sure that's the problem though

#3ur car lowerd ?
would say driveshaft but u say it happens while still
if uve lowerd it , it may be the power steering pipe rubbing on the steering rack or a dodgy steering rack itself , get a m8 to turn the wheel and u have a look along the steering rack see if u can see where its coming from
failing that maybe a sticky top mount
or the power steering pump on its wae out but they usually make a drone -
#4The car isnt lowered at all so i doubt its going to be the power steering pipe. Im just not sure if i should offer for the car or not. Im happy to fix it up a little, but if its a really expensive job, ill stay well clear.

#5How much would the steering rack be to sort out; if it were that making the noises?

#6Trust me if its the driveshaft it will still make clicking sound even if the cars not in motion.

#7its the driftshafts and the CV joints.
common problem on saxo's
remember to change both of them.
A wheel bearing does not make a clcking noise it makes a Whine noise! almost like tyre tread noise on the motorway but with a slight crunck to it ol
