Changes to Mk1s?

   Were there any cosmetic changes to Mk1s over the years? I've been looking at 2 different Mk1 front indicator units, one's a 97 one, and it's just got the indicator bulb in, the other is a 99 one, and has got the indicator and what looks to be a sidelight bulb in a holder just to the inside of the indicator (think between the indicator bulb and headlight).
   
   Anyone know of any changes between these years, because as far as I was concerned, there was no changes through the years of the Mk1, and there was only a Mk1 and Mk2?

   there wasnt a change. The mk1 had 2 different types of grille that was all

   The later grill has the wider look opening to it.(where the slats are)

   ive noticed this. didnt really think much of it but my replacement indicator had a bit poking out the back of it with a cap over it. not a clue what its for becuase the original didnt have it. still works all the same though

   So the grill was changed, i'm guessing this was probably about the same time as the indicator got a sidelight put into it as well then...
   
   As long as they both fit the same, then it's all good.

   but indicators dont have sidelights

   Apparently some do... The one i've got sat here has got a small sidelight bulb in it.

   oh really? so like you'd have sidelights on in your headlights and indicators? so 4 sidelights lol?
