Coilover options? Gaz, Fk or custom?

Right Im debating on keeping the saxo so maybe looking to go another 10-20mm lower to around the 90mm mark.

which would work the best in regard to application VS price

Im currently running standard GAZ gha collies. The springs are 6 1/2" long x 65mm id x 300lbs, the front inserts fit into the standard strut casing but have a reduced stroke to 140mm.

Option 1- get some slightly lower springs around 6" still 300lbs maybe 320lbs (cost £90)

would the dampers bottom out with 0.5" shorter springs?

Option 2- sell the gaz coilovers and get a set of fk's (cost £200)

Option 3- sell gaz & make up some custom jobbies (cost £300+)

At what height do you need to start looking at arb clearance?

what benefits are there from having upgraded top mounts?

Do i really need to be considering getting a matched 23mm torsion bar, with the fronts been 300lbs?

edit- just found these aswell : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/D2-Racing-Coil...item3ca9a7dcaf

look like a nice piece of kit, wounder if them top mounts come with it? gonna try & get the spec for this kit

You certainly want torsion bars with that spring poundage.

gonna be awhile before i can afford a 23mm torsion bar tbh, what are the side effects of not having the two properly matched?
