caliper piston?

    should my piston screw all the way in on my calipers on the rear of my mk2 vtr?i have been loosening the the piston as they were locked on the rear i turned it so far in and it wont go in no more does anyone know y ? i cant get it in far enough to put 2 pads in i can only get 1 pad in.

    Take it fully out and have a good look

    Grease it up etc

    i was gonna do this but will i have to bleed them after that then??

    try putting a clamp on it whilst turning it, sometimes they just pop back out hwen your turning them

    you havent pressed the pedal without having the pads and discs in place have you??

    i have mate yea and turned it back in my pads wont go in just one will i need the piston back in further to get the other pad in. thanks

    thats how i did mine when it wasnt going in, just kept turning

    clamp on it with something to turn the pitson round and keep tightening the clamp up, worked a treat

    unscrew the brake fluid reservoir lid then try to turn the piston in again.
    you have not left your handbrake on havent you?
