New numberplates :)

Thought I would post the pictures I took whilst fitting new plates. The old ones were in italics and had the citroen logo all over the background so pretty illegal.

The new plates were from a local radiator company called Raysons Radiators who are very helpfull and I would highly recomend them if your in the area.

The old ones were stuck on so I used a combination of hard surface cleaner and autoglym tar&glue remover.

New one stuck on with the recomended 5 strips of sticky pad.

    Same again for the rear.

Overall I would say its a big improvement and if you have old cracked and delaminated plates its worthwhile changing them

do these have the name of the company who made them and the postcode on the bottom? If not then afraid these are not legal either pal.

is that true? because i was looking at getting clear plates with none of the small print on them

it is true but any copper who does pull you up for it in a check will only do it if theyre going by the book or you've given them a load of lip.

hate the wee bit text and place of manufacture being there personally as it ruins the whole point of clean/new plates

The new plates are legal, Raysons just use smaller font that most I think? Has the manufactures postcode and all the BS marks.
