Important! : idle problem... and wont rev past 4000rpm???

    ive just got a new head after freezing my car in the winter...oppsss lol now it idles really high so what ive done because i havent got the money to spend on it at the moment taken the wire off the back off the idle senser to stop it revin so high (just so i can drive it till next week) it was driving normalish but now it wont rev past 4000rpm...

    can sumone please help me ??

    i had a similar problem when my battery kept dying, is the engine management light on?? Mine went into a safe mode wouldn't rev past 3000 or 4000 (can't remember which one it was) had to pay citroen to fix it

    try the ht leads, but then that would mean it would only run on 2 or 3 cylinders, Something must of been put back wrong when changing your head, check sparkys are all screwed in tight !

    naa mate its not that... going into citroen on tuesday had enough with the crap lol

    try your ignition coil see if there all sparking.

    did try that but taken it to the garage the other day thay said its the lambard sensor.... i havent got one their. the prev owner has had a 4-2-1 mani and had choped the wires and i dnt think theirs a hole for the sensor ....


    dick head springs to mind.... =)
