powerless vtr

   i recently replaced the head of my vtr, its a phase 1 and i put a phase 2 head on it, i drove it for 3 miles after and it has got no power at all! ive checked everything and it seems fine, anyone got any ideas?

   Check again because obviously there is a problem. First thing I would be doing is checking cam timing incase belt has jumped/slipped

   i know something is wrong, but i cant see it, the cambelt still seems nice and tight, and is brand new too

   It is because you are missing 8v's.
   
   Check cam timing. Make sure you have spark and fuel.

   haha, its got a new head, i have fuel and spark, how do i know if its got enough fuel? might the injectors have some dirt in them?

   diagnostics machine will show if they are firiing correctly but ot test how much etc you will need to send them off really.
   
   A new head doesnt mean its timed up correctly though.
