Supersprint Centre Section?

  1. #1
Hi peeps just wondering i have a 2000 W reg mk2 vtr so i think it has the cat under the car...i want it decated but if i buy the full race tube i will have to put standard exhaust on for mot not i? so if i got the cat back centre section could i buy a decat for it so my exhaust system would be in 4 pieces so thn i could just pop the cat on for the mot?...i also seen on kam racing that the race tube centre section comes in 2 pieces is that basically a decat or is it just for ease of transporting?

    http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php...o-vtr-mk2.html

Its this one that says its a two piece system under the features tab

    Cheers, Sean

yeh that one in the link would decat your car. for the mot you could either get a friendly one done or just put the standard cat and centre section on. buying a mk1 decat pipe and a separate mk1 supersprint cat back pipe can be done aswell so you could just swap the cat around but its a little pointless as it will end up more expensive wouldnt it? buying a decat and cat back.
I dont think its that easy to remove a decat pipe from a supersprint catback, with a supersprint cat back on my mk1 i had to remove the decat and centre pipe together anyway as it they slide into each other at the join so was easier to stick them in a vice and hammer them apart.

o yeah and its a two piece system so its easier for transport i think by the looks of it, dont think you can only use one half of it

cheers mate i was just wondering if the front part could be taken off the centre section and put the cat in its place for mot? but i dnt think it will work like that will it

that pipe will not de-cat a mk2 saxo as the mk2 has the cat in the manifold so if you want to de-cat your mk2 you will have to get a aftermarket manifold so by putting this supersprint pipe and a back box it will pass an mot
