i think a lot of garages have special tools for takin lockin nuts off these days

i had this problem, i got a set of sockets that sort of grind into the old nut then u can take them of as normal, or you could weld a bolt that u do have the socket for to the one you dont

Halfords sell one froma company called Laser for about a 10er than removes most, bit pikey but it will work, or just hammer a 10/11/12/13/14mm socket on.

saxo original ones are a pain in the arse to get off without a key, especially if someone has rounded them off already. Have you tried Citroen yet?

Haha so predictable you would loose this leaving it on your drive Chris lol.

lol, its gravel too. was getting dark. i think it must have still been on the bolt when i moved it. could be anywhere

are they easy to get off then at garages or does it still take some time?

obviously not much point in them if they are easy enough to get off with a universal tool... in fact that just defeats the point?

Mate of mine did this in his octavia. Dove down the road with it still in the wheel. Spent ages looking for it, luckily found it on a grass verve lol!

First garage told me they spent 3 hours and broke 3 bars trying to get one off, £20 a wheel.

Citroen - checked my chassis number against the records. my car didnt have lockers as standard. they quoted me £75 for an hour-ish to get them off.

i managed to find the box which the lockers came in, this had reference code on it so phoned back up. now have a nut on order for next week - £28 + VAT

another unwanted expense but its needed. cant even sell it on and make the money back
