i can get a damaged 4-1 manifold its got a dent in the bottom of the pipe where a speed bump has hit it.
will the dent make it not work as it should??
or am i best just not to buy it?

    thanks.

surely a dent would restrict the pipe?

    thats what i was thinking.

if its cheap enough theres no harm in trying lol my decat pipe had a slight ding in it and it never really made a difference
  5. #5
i can get it for a very very low price

why not then? after all vtec will push out the dent
  7. #7
lol. will try and get it tomo

if it really worries you mate cut a plate and cut out offending dent, weld in the plate good as new till u hit anthoer speed bump

    were is the dent ??

A little dent will not make much difference. As said though if it is big then kust cut it out and weld a plate over it.

Depending on the size of the dent, unless its "bottle necked" the manifold reducing the internal diamiter of the manifold by say... 10%? thus reducing the exhaust flow, and restricting it... i wouldnt worry about it.

As stated if its rather large, just cut it out and welt a plate over it.

Is there a large concave in the pipe?

weld a threaded bar to it and use a slide hammer to pull it out. Once your done cut the bar off and weld a skid plate to it for some added protection
