    hey all, i have just been quoted £120.00 for a cambelt change this includes the kit and labour is this a good quote it seems ok too me as i had one changed on a 206 and it cost £165.00 all in ..

    lol its a mate rate, my m8s dad is a mechanic but tbf i thought it was a pretty nice price..

    good price tbh, cam belt kits are quite expensive alone

    Make sure it does include the kit (kits include new tensioner and idler pulley).

    Cam Belt Kits are about £40-£60

    Cam Belts alone are about £10-£15

    But yeah, it will take about 3 hours so I suppose £20 / hour is an OK mate rate?

    Full service where I live was £145 they changed the belt but dunno if they changed the whole kit.

    had it done on saturday, i drank coffee and the guys fitted new belt , tensioners ect, took a little over 2 hrs, now i can finally start improving the look

    My Cam belt kit was £42 trade (for saxo 1.1), friend of my brothers fitted it in his garage for £30.
    I asked if it may need a water pump and mechanic advised me it would be unlikely, but if it did need one he would replace that as well, turned out it didn't need one either!
