    alright peeps!
me and the wife are going to do a project over the summer, i am going to buy a VTR engine strip it, replace all the seals and bearings and belts, and hopefully after the 4 weeks is up change it for the one in my car?

i need some help, what to watch out for, parts i need, specialist tools i may need? has anyone else on here done this? i have searched but cant find what i am looking for,

cheers for the help in advance, a saxo lover through and through.

This sounds like a nice little project, I'm a bit clued up on Cars but not as much as I'd like and this seems a good way of learning?

Seeing as the OP Is after the same advice hopefully He wont mind me asking a few questions awell.

Cost of the Engine seems pretty cheap but what about all parts needed? I've got alot of Tools and can also borrow ones I don't have..
I've got a Saxo Haynes Manual, do they do specific Engine ones?

After looking, VTR Engines are alot cheaper than VTS lumps! Think I'll just get myself a VTR lump and then after I've rebuilt It sell It on and get a VTS lump.. If It all works out that Is.

Wont be anytime soon but It's something I'd really like to do In the future! Make sure you take loads of pics and make a thread, should help a few people
