106 gti pistons

    its just ive bought what i thought was an ordinary 106 gti engine. but took cylinder head off it found out it has a tu5jp4 head and it looks like a vtr or xsi bottom end due to not having the oil return from cylinder head and not having pocketed pistons by the looks of things there raised domed in th middle. got it off a mate the car it was in went like f**k so this must be creating higher compresion. what yous think

    the engine is a tu5jp4 unit ,thery have domed pistons and no oil drain from cylinder head ,and yes they do go well a very torquey engine

    what code is on the bottom end mine says TUPY i thought this was the code off the vtr block
