Complete delocking

    HAI Sax-p

Ive got a smooth boot stip where the lock used to be, and a popper for it.
I really like how clean a car looks de-locked aswell, im wondering if i delock the entire car (doors aswell), am i completley fooked if the central locking suddenly packs up?
Is there a solution to getting in the car (without damage) if it does?

I understand people may not want to give out tips to break into a saxo on a public forum so im open to pm's.
Or is there a solution, like wiring up button to the central locking and mounting it somwhere on the car (under front/back bumper)

    Regards

    Sam

mind you'll have the same problem if the battery dies

Nothing a zippy hammer can't fix. Rear quarters are cheap

My saxo is de-locked and de-pinned. But have a cobra alarm on it. So if one of my fob battery's die, the other will unlock/lock.

My nova was de-locked/de-pinned/de-handled. Used to have door poppers on the clifford fob. My door shut once when i was warming it up (before i figured how to use the turbo timer) And i had to smash the front quarter window. Drive to the scrappys later, had a new window, a 5er

Personally i wouldnt do it Mr_N.......what i did was have the boot button sprayed body colour so it blends in more.

Trouble is ive already done the boot. Although ive actually had a very good idea and can make it work i think. Cant really say on a public forum but its a good way to open the car from the outside now.

i ran a set of wires to the boot solenoid, and have them in an easy to get to area so i can put a 12v supply to it to pop the boot.

thats one thing i noticed which changed between the mk1 and mk2s... on the three mk1's i've had the boot buttons are same colour as the car, but on mk2s they all seem to be black

If your battery dies or any similar problems, just break a rear side window as last resort, they dont cost much unless they are already tinted. Easy to change over aswell but a shit load of glass to pick up

Just a quick question MR_N how did you find smoothing the trim, pain in the arse with it cracking

you can get into the engine bay from outside the car, so you would be able to either fit a new battery or connect to another car to get the charge to open the door

    no need to break anything

taping the window up with masking tape first makes it much easier

Mine has been ok. Put a bit of mesh in the hole first, lots of fibreglass in the back on it and numerous skmis of filler on the top.
Just remember to keep giving it a slight bend when its drying, helps it not crack once on the car.
After a while you may be able to see a faint circle where the boot lock used to be but that comes with the vibrations on the road (more if you have a sub).
If mine develops a faint line ill get a new one and plastic weld it up. shouldnt crack or anytihng then

I've done it that way twice now and got pissed off, so I've resined a t-shirt on. Then I will fibreglass the whole thing. Then thing skim of filler on the whole thing. Sounds abit excessive but I'm hoping it will last this time!
