Help carneg lower a saxo

    Arite folks, just been asked if i knew anyone who could fit 45mm lowering springs onto a saxo, thought id give it ago myself so i have spring compressors ready.
    What do i need to know?

    wouldnt change them yourself if you dont know much about it tbh mate. you changing the shocks aswell or jus fittin springs?

    Nah just the springs bud, ma pal gav show me how to do it breifly.
    The fronts should be easy but ive heard theres a torsion bar on rears you have to adjust??

    i think i could manage this now, so do you need the springs aswell as adjusting the torsion bar?

    I think theres no springs on the rear here

    theres no springs on the back basically you pull the torsion bars out set the height then put the bars back in, this is very difficult to do (in theory its easy but they are always seized in, took the garage that did mine 5.5 hours to do),springs are easy to do if you know what your doing

    aye spose it does sound easy reading it, i know how seized they would be and these arent the kind of fixings you can get at easily either they dont look like it from the pics anyway
    using the flat plate and socket with the m8 bolt (which isnt that big) to extract the bars looks like a simple idea.
    the fronts seem pretty much ok to do.
    I know you can drop saxo quite low at the back

    mibi just lowering the front would do, the back looks quite low as it is already
    i see a couple of saxos look like there gunning it even when theyr parked up haha

    my car looked as if the back was on stilts after i fitted my front 60mm springs, the back definitely needed doing lol

    I wouldn't touch the springs if you're not 100% sure on what you're doing.

    If you mess you up can end up dead..
