mot failure

   took my mark 1 standard vtr in for mot, failed on bit of welding on x member at front, discs/pads at rear and also emissions. told may be plugs but could be cat but the pattern part one is not that old.
   
   garage quoted approx £400 for the lot, almost more than the car is worth, is this a bit over the top.......

   i can supply you with brand new discs and pads, cat and lambda

   Im in peterboroug and could fit the brakes and plugs for alot lesr
   dont have a welder at mo though so cant do that bit.

   haha welding on the front xmember im a master of that. hire a welder and get stuck in my son
