lowering front problems

hello everyone, today i attempted to lower my mk1 1.1 saxo, well it didnt go too good as the person i was doing it with was a poof and didnt want to get his hands dirty, well i ended up getting the left strut off to find out i didnt have enough time to have to put it all back together well my mate stupidly pulled the drive shaft out and i lost some gear oil, so i was wondering i only lost a little bit, probably 1/4 of a litre do i need to top it up again? and do the boxes have dipsticks??? also i was going to lower the front 45mm and do the back in about 2-3 weeks time does anyone think the car will look stupid???

thanks for any help, will be well appreciated

the car wont look ideal mate but it will be a job done for the sake of 3 weeks. and the gearboxes have a level check, not a dipstick. Iirc, it is a squear bolt that you remove, fill through it and when it starts leaking out, the level should be fine

    thanks

on the end of the gearbox, accessed through the wheel arch, towards the front of the box about half way up, as said before its a square plug

don't even need to take wheel off, turn steering wheel all the way left, pull back the plastic arch liner and you'll see it
