Key Fob Broke

   The chip inside my key fob doesn't work any more. I've had the buttons checked and resoldered which worked for a few days. I've now tried a new battery.
   
   Basically i'm wondering is it possible to buy a second hand key fob and have it re-programmed? If so does Citroen have to do it or can you take it to a 3rd party specialist, like a security shop?
   
   I've seen one on e-bay, ready to code? Does this mean I can use it on my car without the need for re-programming?

   If there's any other cheap options can someone let me know, I'm stick of having to use the key to open the doors!

   I went to a key cutting shop earlier because mines broke too, they told me i'd have to go to citroen as they cant get the software to do saxo's. So Citroen are your only option i'm affraid

   Yeah buy a cheap one if the electronic is still fine!

   If it needs reproggramming etc then only citroen can do it. A dealer near me charges 80.
   
   So for that price, I dont mind using the key in the door to lock/unlock the car instead

   ive had the same problem with mine a proper pain in the ass!! anybody know what fuse stops the alarm going off? because everytime i open the door it sets the alarm off lol

   I replaced the worn fob about 6 months ago, but the chip itself isn't sending out a signal.
   
   So looks like I have to go back to Shitroen.

    Is it possible to have another key and get a cheaper locksmiths to code this to your car?
