I have got a saxo vts on a 2000 plate, and its toltal standard apart from a panel filter. But earlyer i was driveing back home and me mate cme beside in his 182 clio, and we where side byside. I just wanna know if anyone else can keep with one, because i carnt believe it how it kept with it. Cheers.

He wasn't trying, there is no way a standard VTS can keep up with a 182.
  3. #3
im not saying the 182 wouldn't beat it but tbh the 182 aint exactly a rocket ship.

Still though, i read that most 182s don't make that figure and when you take that into account along with the power to weight then it equals about 160bhp which is still enough to beat a VTS without pushing it too hard.

No lie he was trying, thats why im saying it must have been played with before i brought it.

Have you had the car dynod?

Could have been cammed / remap / ported and polished head etc but it's rare you find these mods without changes to the air filter setup and exhaust.

stick it on a dyno if you think its matchin 182's, then can you tell us what panel filter you have? haha

haha iam on it now i havnt revised all these so they stick haha
  15. #15
    VTS's weigh 965kg

depending on what speed you were at it's possible to seemingly "keep up" with a 182.

they are however much better car's than a saxo, and at higher speeds will be quicker.

if he tried pulling in the wrong gear at the wrong speed, then that'd have a massive emphasis on what happens.

edit: it's only ever saxo owners that think theyre car's quicker those who have owned both will always side with the clio
