Sparkrite SRA 6 Alarm not working

   This alarm came with the car when I bougt it second hand. I got the fob and there appears to be a little red light in the dash that will blink when the alarm tunrs on.....the only problem is that the alarm doesn't do anyting. This makes me believe its been wired up wrong or something. ... I know its probably a useless question, but any have any ideas where to start on troublshooting a problem like this?

   Ok, so I have a number of wires pointing out of this monster and I want to get it to work. All the wires appear to run into the interor somewhere. So I imagine most of them are for making the lights blink, the sensors and the interoir indicator. So, no power....can anyone give me some suggestions on how to get this thing hooked up with power?

   i have an sr100u and the purple and grey are indicators green is the alamr antenna yellow is the fan wire blue is for the doors black is earth orange and white central locking pink is the ignition brown/orange is immobiliser
   hopefully that helped

   Cheers for that. My first check then is to see if the power wire is correct. Where should it lead to and if its disconnected, how do I connect it to wherever it goes.
   
   Apologies, im a complete car newb and im using this saxo as a way to get to know a bit more about how cars work (and customise my ride for the first time).
