    Hi Guys,
Basically have a problem with my handbrake, when i release it and select reverse the car wont reverse and the back rides up as i put the revs down as if the handbrake was stuck, however if i want to drive forward it will do it perfectly fine? The handbrake seems to have seased on but only in reverse?
If anyone could help me that would be grand!
    Thanks Matt

Sometimes what can happen is that the brake friction part seperates from the metal brake shoe. As the shoe friction plates are tapered, when in forward the friction plate moves but you can still have some slight brake efficientcy, when in reverse the friction plate jambs in between the metal plate of the shoe and the hub giving the effect that the brake is applied. This of couse is assuming that your rear brakes are shoes. The best thing to do is take off the hubs and have a real good look.
