will a crank sensor of a vts fit a vtr as its the same block just got different heads n and pistons are pocked on the vts

#2Yes. provided its the same plug. The early vtr/vts had a different one to the later

#4Will the crank sensor from a early single plug silvertop vtr fit a vts?

#5all depends on the year. single plus engines have the crank sensor that has a connector only and later 3 plugs have a crank sensor that has the connector on the end of the wire. they cant be interchanged between the two types.
Im 95% on that not 100% -
#6Will check this tomorrow if it fits if not back to problem solving lol got to either be crank sensor coilpack map sensor or one of the throttle body sensors... Really hope it ain't coilpack I have a spare crank sensor so hope it fits

#7The early engines and a 3 plug crank sensor, brown connector. Cit had been using these on most of their engines for a few years. It had a metal housing that bolted to the engine and the the crank sensor bolted into that. It had a small lead on it. 2 wires for the sensor itself and the 3rd was to extend the sheild right upto the sensor.
The later ones were a cheaper design, one piece plastic unit with n wires, the loom plugged directly into the sensor so it didnt need the sheilding, thats why they only have 2 pins.
You can interchange between them if you swap the connectors on the loom, just remember to join up the sheilding if you are converting it to a 3 wire connector from a 2
