is it hard to fit a vtr bodykit to a saxo first?
do you have to smooth it or would it clip?

if its a 1.1 shape, flatarch, then ur gona need some nails and alot of glue to get them arches to stick on lol
were as if u have a proper vtr the body panels have holes for were the clips go into for the kit.

my suggestion is buy a 1.4 furio or westcoast model, cheap insurance and yet still looks like a original vtr (exept without the side badges, and performance lol)

Why the heck would he have to nail it on?
Just use tiger seal and something to hold it on while it all dries.

Don't use nails lol, as said use alot of tiger seal and clamp the kit firmly

EDIT: you can buy tigerseal from ebay

Since your going to have to cut the back arches anyway, you may aswell drill the holes for the kit too. That way you can clip it on
