VTS Temp Gauge

  1. #1
    Just a quick question.

My old VTS the coolant temp needle sat at half way, but on my new one it sits at the bottom until I sit in traffic at which point it travels up. It has only reached halfway, I am not sure if this is because the fan kicks in or the fact I am usually off moving again. I know this isn't right and I am wondering what the issue could be. I know it is not either of the temperature sensors as I have replaced both of these. If the thermostat were so be not opening correctly could it cause this issue?

    Cheers

Did you ever sort this out mate?
    I have the same problem.

I've come to the conclusion that it is just very efficent at cooling. It sometimes sits just above the bottomline now. I am wondering if too much coolant was put in.

I think its your thermostat being faulty and its open all the time,
My thermostat broke so I took it out completely until i got a new one and the temp never went above the half way line, so i guess you could have the same problem.
    it cost me £12 new
