Saxo xs Exhaust system help

   Hi there, Recently purchased a Saxo xs (1.1) 97 model been running fine until the exhaust started blowing. Back box has gone and so has the pipe leading in to it. On inspection with local friendly mechanic. he informed me that the exhaust fitted was not standard. He says the exhaust fitted is different as he can replace the back box and the middle section alone. all for about £100 quid which is nice. anyone aware of cheaper non standard exhaust being fitted to 1.1 models??
   
   Any help much appreciated.

   chances are mate it will just be a cheaper replica of the standed exhaust and as you say comes in too bits to make life better to change things over
