Saxo ecu!!

   Hey ive just had a new engine put into my saxo 1.1 p reg and now we have the problem that it will not start it turns over though.
   We have tried my old ecu with it and the new one and was told by a mechanic that we will need the transponder box but my saxo does not have one on as it has a keypad emboliser.
   We have been researching what to do next and have seen that getting an older ecu will hopefully cure the problem and start it as the older ones apparently do not have a emboliser on we have found a ecu at a scrappy but its a ax model does anyone know if this would fit my saxo????

   Does the ecu not need to be unlocked for a new engine to be put in ?

   i had a new engine in my y reg 1.1 started first time no problem they had the red thing at the top pushed in aparently to help it start or something

   i have another solution to this problem as i still cannot get around this keypad. was wondering if i bought a new unlocked ecu would that work and unplug the keypad??? or if i replaced the keypad and ecu with another one would that work or do you think its a citroen job???? need help asap need to get this car running soon as
