Xenon Bulbs

   Are they worth it? Seen them at Halfrauds other day.
   
   I would just get a HID kit but am useless at electical stuff!
   
   Would it be the H4 bulbs aswell?

   yeah they are worth it, much better than standard, i just put some h7's and h1's in my morettes and upgraded the sidelights to cree bulbs, and they look awesome.

   I think theyre no better than standard, all they do is shine blue/white. I would say if your paying £4 its a good deal anymore and its pointless.

   Fitting them is no real problem as most kits tend to be very simple. But they are illegal http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

   I bought sum off ebay. 6 bulbs, side, dipped, and fog for £13. They definately luk much better, but 1 of my dipped bulbs hav blown already in a week, so ur best of gettin dear xenons bulbs.

   Could try phillips diamond visions. Unlike HIDs they dont require any modification so its a direct swap.

   ebays the best bet. i got headlight and sidelight bulbs for £5 including postage. and they're a direct swap.

    Am i right in saying it seems the 100W ones aren't road legal, but 60W ones or lower are? Something like these? ....

    Any blue tint bulb in a vehicle that is non-emergency services is illegal.

    Brilliant bulbs, they are 100w so in theory illegal. Never been pulled for them, improve the light output so so so much. More of a very crisp white light with a ever so slight blue light.

    If your scared of getting stopped then just stick to "HID imitation" bulbs from halfrauds..

    i've already been banned for dangerous driving so i would prefer to stay out of trouble lol just wondering what they would say and do though, is it just a case of acting dumb and having to change them back?

    Doubt acting dumb would work as you've been in trouble with them already. Even if they do stop you they wont check your headlights-they arent that clued up or they have better things to do..
