right, cut a long story short, my cars water heater showed up a shockingly high temperature the other day, so i checked it all, and lo and behold, there's oil in my colling system.
I've flushed it out now, and the problem has eased, but I'm aware this generally means theres a crack or warp in the head gasket.
If anyone in the NW who knows how to fit a new head gasket and skim the head wants to earn £100 plus the cost of parts (new head gasket, new oil pump), PLEASE get in touch, and do this job for me to keep my car on the road (I'm a pizza delivery boy by night, I need the extra income from this job, don't want to lose the car!)
