using wheel bolt gun with spacers

someone told me i should use the gun to tighten my nuts on the new alloys because using a wrench isnt good enough apparently, but ive heard using a gun on spacers can damage them.

should i take it to a garage and get it tightened with a gun?

depends how big the wrench is, i've had wheel nuts i can't undo with an air wrench, 6 foot scaffold bar and wheel brace soon shifts them lol, like wise we have a petrol driven gun thats definately going to get them tight enough but chances are they'll snap!! be fine tightened properly with a wrench, bad practice just to fit wheels with an air wrench, in fact if garage is BS5750 certified the wheel nuts MUST be tightened with a torque wrench.

thanks dude, my friend said for the next couple of days just keep tightening them every time i go on a journey, to make sure they arent coming loose. and it should be okay. im just incredibly scared of them falling off lmao, it probably wont happen anyway.

they need tightening to the correct torque, usually n/m. a gun can be used but i prefer using a torque wrench anyday, im not a car mechanic but i am an engineer, u have no feel using a gun, so cant really tell if ur damaging the thread/spacer if ur banging them down with a torque gun, ive had hours of fun getting out bust/overtightened bolts!lol
