Transit Van induction hose

A friend told me if i fit a Transit van induction hose onto my standard air box with a performance panel filter, not only will this sound very good but increase performance slightly. Presumably the hose is much larger, will this work?

panel filter and a decent cold air feed your onto a winner, see no relevance a transit hose has over any, your mate probably just used one as he cm across one,

Exactly what i was going to write. Any hose will work, don't see the relevance of a transit one

Yea what i was thinking, i think he means as a cheap alternative, about a tenner from a salvage yard or something. If its worth it i mite give it a go And when he says larger, i mean he said the diameter of the pipe is massive so more air or something

doesnt need a bigger one tbh, if it did it would have one standard, just a good cold air feed will do

Cheers mate, just out of interest is the standard cold air feed restricting air as ive noticed it has a funnel along the pipe, or is this to speed up the air?

You can get a cold air feed off Ebay for less than that, and it will look better and be brand new
