leather dashboard

    im thinking about doing my dashboard leather to match my interior but not sure if icelandic would be to much as its the same colour as my seats and car ?

    I think it would look pretty good mate. I see in your avatar you've got gloss black bumpers so maybe throw in abit of black to break it all up? Just my opinion though.

    ive just used black to black or something on them at the min they will be gloss black soon i was thinking of having black stitching around the edge of it

    Black stitching would look awesome mate. Just to break the colours up that little bit.
    Wish I had a relative who could retrim my interior lol.

    would look really good m8 ive thought about using leather on the dash so let me no how it turns out wen its done and the black stitching would break it up a little bit...

    i was thinking of spraying my centre console and vents in gloss black aswell but not sure what to do about the glove box if i should do that in leather and spray the handle gloss black

    leather glove box with black stitchin around the edge and a gloss black handle would look mint imo

    does anyone know where i can get the leather from and if i will be able to get it the sma ecolour as my car or will i have to by the leather die paint ????

    i wouldnt personally use leather die paint, its probably likely to fade in the sun

    you going to attempt it yourself?

    yeah going to have a go at it myself with the help of my father in law who does dashboards and interiors at bentley

    Haven't read all the posts as half alsleep but i tried leathering my first saxo and I found it really hard. The curves and everything were just too difficult to get the leather to shape to. So instead i used the leather for my rear seats and doorcards and then sprayed the dash. Just to give you some idea on how it looks with the whole interior, (and a little bit of showing off ) -

    Not something i've tried but it's something i would try if i had the money. It's all about getting the right vinyl and contact adhesive. Audioscape make a high temp contact adhesive (needed for dashes) which is the bomb and their leathers good too. Also a heat gun helps get the stretch in so you can make it do what you want with curves

    wow. i like the look of that dash mate, did you do it youreself? or did you take it to a shop or summit? proppa nice, would'nt mind trying that myself
