with all the rear brake problems you gotta check your breaks dude, probably nowt left, also could be handbrake.. wipers it might just be motor, fuse ect but jack it up and take the back wheels off and see what it all looks like

whip the drum off first matey, then see what you got there, if its just brakes it'll be cheap enough if you can do it yourself.. but a cylinder might be seized ect

how can i tell if cylinder is seized and how easy is it to take drum on and off

Drum is relatively simple, When you get it off just check the shoes first.
Should be able to move the piston slightly if it's not seized.

my moneys on a damaged rear drum, if it was just a seized piston the handbrake would work too, which it isnt. probably a spring or mount inside the dum thats broken. tbh drums are pretty complicated, if you dont know what youre lookin it youre best not botherin!

so just replacing the drums would sort out 1 to 4 in the problems i have

i should imagine so. it could be a seized piston, but then with the handbrake not working on the same drum it could be a coincidence but id say its something else. theres a lot inside a drum that could have broken

you wouldnt know how much drums are would you

Rear shoes, handbrake cables and a wheel cylinder should sort out your brakes.

Drums on their own are expensive, don't forget new drums need new wheel bearings.

mate- check the compensation valve. it is mounted just above the axle on the drivers side. my friend had a similar failure on his vtr, when it braked it didnt have much brake effort but if you stamped on the ancors the rears would lock. it hs a couple of moving parts and they had seized. just a idea.
