Breather filter.

    Bit confused with the piping in my engine now.

    When I got the car it was like this;

    As you can see, the breather was on a pipe and attached with a jubilee clip, the yellow clip to the left was left hanging (dripping oil on the engine), and no pipes to the induction.

    Right, so now it's like this;

    Now the pipe that was connected to the breather is connected to the pipercross induction, and obviously the breather won't click/fit onto the pipe because it doesn't have a yellow clip design/is designed to be held on with a jubilee clip;

    I was planning on getting an oil catch tank, but my question is 1) Is this connected up right? 2) What is the name of that clip & where can I get a filter for it/where is it meant to go if this is connected up wrong? =].

    Cheers!

    Hi mate, yes it's right, I had mine on a breather but got fed up of the fumes when stood in traffic so I piped it back into the induction kit(See pic). Like you said you can put a catch tank on it.

    my vtr that I just got at the weekend is the same as yours mate, would be interested to know if that was the correct way of fitting it as well.

    so the tube that the oil breather is attached to can be attached to the induction kit or standard box (planning on fitting one back in when I get hold of one) is this correct?

    the pipe on top of the rocker cover (where he has now attached the filter) returns to the air filter correct.

    if not you can route it to a catch tank.

    also the pipe if your missing it is about £8 from citroen.

    Okay thanks, I'll hook that up to a catch tank in the future, obviously the filter isn't attached, its just placed there (clip:no clip), and will fall of if I drove it like that .

    Anyone know a good Oil breather to purchase? When i got my car there was a what looks like a mini air filter/oil breather but its snapped off and is exploiting a bit of oil out and i need to replace it.
