Bonnet catch mechanism

   Can anyone get a picture/tell me how/where the spring goes in the catch mechanism, or maybe I should replace it?
   
   Reason being, bonnet was sitting proud, sisters boyfriend said "Let's remove the spring". It now shuts, and the bonnet release actually works now (wasn't actually shut before, only the flip release was holding it)

   Don't let him touch your car again mate he obviously has no clue or common sense. If the bonnet flips on a sax it generally wrecks the roof and smashes the windscreen as well - ouch!
   I would be tempted to get another catch from the scrappy, give it a good clean up in petrol or something and re grease it. You can adjust the catch on its mounting bolts IIRC.
