Whilst trying to ft a new indicator talk I have just dscovered that animal who previosly owned the car has wrecked the air bag connector ring. The post that the wire comes through is broken off and the wires have snapped off at the soldered joint! Because of the position of the post I presume this also cancels the indcators, which is not happening at the moment.
Firstly why doesn't the air bag warning light come on assuming the bulb has not blown?
If I fit a new connector ring is there anything that needs to be set up. Someone told me that the air bag has to be reset, has anyone heard of this? If so what's involved? is it a DIY job or does it have to go back to a main dealer for set up?
