   Just picked up my new car from Derby and on the way back to Glasgow i started to hear a grumbling noise ehich i could feel through the drivers footwell floor. Also there is a bit of play in the gear stick when in gear(like it would be if u went to check it was in neutral) and finaly when i turn left there is a niose which sounds like its comming from the gear box.

   well my gearbox has a fair bit of play aswell in gear and mines fine , no idea about the grumbling though

   my gearstick used to have lots of play basically you could move it in any gear as if it were in neutral lol, you probably just need new bush's, or your gear linkage could be screwed but its probs just the bush's and there about a tenner to get hold of.

   i hope so. although someone in another thread mentioned a ralley gearbox. whats the diff or should i say benifits of this over the vts one???

   no idea wat the diff is mate unfortunantly, im sure if you start a thread on it, one of the boys on here, will know what it is lol
