im currently gettin my 205 wheels powdercoated they are blasted down to a clean surface for the powder to stick to and they are baked in oven at 200 degrees the finish is more hard wearing than normal paint check my progress thread to see the finish ive got my rocker and strut brace powdercoated

first of all you will need to buy a powder coating gun (most guns run on 3 phase power supplies)
then you will need to buy a compressor to power the gun.

powder will cost you a fortune because you can only buy it in 25KG boxes which will last you months in the industry.
also it depends on the colour your after ( RAL or BS numbers are cheaper than custom powders)

proper extraction is needed also, as most of the power today contains zinc and polyester which is A. highly flammable B. very bad for your health.

you will then need a oven to bake them which will cost you a fortune also. normaly you put the work in and set it to 190 degrees ..... when it hits 190 it will be on a timer for 20 minutes to bake.

    all done.

beleave me ive been powder coating business for over 5 years and its an expensive game, better off letting some1 in the know do it for you.

they do not need to be blasted down so that the powder sticks..... the powder sticks using a static charge running through the jigs.

the reason you clean/blast them is because any shit under the power will burn through giving you an orange peel effect and blistering.
